The Killing Pledge by Eric Neher / #CoverReveal #BlogTour @LoveBooksGroup @CayellePub @ENeherFiction

B for Bookreview

:

A killer is loose in a small town in Oklahoma, and Sam, the Second-Hand-Man, wants him. Sam is an ancient immortal creature who feeds off the misery he creates. At first, the choice seems obvious; a kid with a stolen gun has decided to make the community pay for the suicide of his father. Sam wants to help his young protege succeed but is soon disappointed. Unfortunately for Sam, he is not the only one in town who doesn’t belong. A man had returned after losing his life in a tornado. This man, along with the help of an emotionally scarred police chief, must stop Sam before he can find and recruit a mysterious hidden killer. The future of the world will depend on it.

DEAR AUTHORS

Due to the abundance of submissions and inquiries we receive daily, it’s unfortunate that over 85% are the result of authors who refuse to read, which doesn’t match the profession. Before you decide this is rude to say, please understand us. Our general royalty information, submission guidelines, and imprint specifics (including word count requirements) are plainly posted on our website for all to see. Taking a few minutes of your time to review them is the least a person should do when seeking a publishing deal. Publishing contracts are partnerships and Cayélle staff works closely with our authors. Imagine a world where a publisher attempts to create a partnership with an author who refuses to read or follow simple instructions. It’s nonexistent.

Our staff has been taking a beating these past weeks from rude persons who become angry when they don’t receive information that doesn’t specifically pertain to them. Unsigned authors: Please refrain from demanding SPECIFIC royalty percentages and royalty advance information on books Cayélle hasn’t acquired or even viewed. We guarantee you that the major 5 publishing houses wouldn’t even blink your way and would likely blacklist you if you approached them so arrogantly.  Regardless of how great we believe our work to be, it doesn’t give us the right to disrespect others.

Moving forward, Cayélle staff will be unable to respond to unsolicited manuscript pitches via email or social media Direct Message. However, we are more than happy to answer general questions regarding our publishing model, submission guidelines, and processes. For consideration of your work, please visit our website for more information. From there, you may submit your manuscript for consideration.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and look forward to reading all of your stories. Let’s make history.

Happy Writing!

TRYST SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Cayélle Publishing

Romance is an omnipresence the mind has conditioned itself to view as a standard entitlement, leaving levels unexplored and others taken for granted. Dating with and without specific goals, hidden agendas, and rebounds, are Trysts.

Uncertain but convincing romance. That’s Tryst.

Specifically, we’re seeking:

  • Moderately paced stories with chapter-ending cliffhangers.
  • Proven category tropes including, but not limited to, relationships of convenience, narcissist vs empath, rebounds, mail order brides, and space-fillers.
  • Stories featuring heroines and the everyday, relatable man who court them without clear intentions.
  • Romance must be the central plot. The couple should be together on almost every page.
  • Strong conflict. This is a major deal. Why can’t people just be clear about what they want? Why can’t people know what they want? Explore the see-saw emotions and situations that impede the due course of happily ever after.
  • POV should be split 50/50 between the hero and heroine. 3rd person POV is preferred. No secondary characters should have their own POV.
  • The heat level should be anywhere from a simmering spark to blazing.
  • Manuscripts are preferred at 45-60K words in length, but novellas of 15-40K words are accepted at this time.
  • Single or series titles

WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY SUBMISSIONS CONTAINING THE FOLLOWING:

  • Age play/pedophilia
  • Bestiality. Steamy shape-shifter sex (in human form) is welcome.
  • Edge play. Including, but not limited to, blood, breath, scat/urine, knife, and gun. If it’s not safe, we’re not interested.
  • Incest. No blood relatives, please. We do, however, accept step-siblings, and in-laws.
  • Necrophilia
  • Rape as titillation

CELEST SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Cayélle Publishing

Unspoken bonds that don’t require human explanation nor validation. Not meant to be understood, but experienced, and felt as unbelievable.

Strong, capable, intelligent heroines. Endearing protective heroes. Beyond the realm of reality romance. That’s Celest.

Specifically, we’re seeking:

  • Moderately paced stories with chapter-ending cliffhangers.
  • Proven category tropes
  • Stories featuring extraordinary heroines and the endearing men who fall for them.
  • Strong conflict. Is there a choice between humanity and the supernatural? Define and explore the decisions faced when humans and supernatural beings fall in love.
  • POV should be split 50/50 between the hero and heroine. 3rd person POV is preferred, but 1st POV is acceptable and should be strong. No secondary characters should have their own POV.
  • The heat level should be anywhere from a simmering spark to blazing.
  • Single title manuscripts must be 45-70K words in length.
  • Series titles can be 25-45K words in length and must be complete serialized packages

  • Necrophilia
  • Rape as titillation

EXPIATE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Cayélle Publishing

Destined relationships that society condemns as morally unsound or scandalous. When judgments are as plentiful as love. That’s Expiate.

  • Moderate to fast-paced stories with chapter-ending cliffhangers.
  • Proven category tropes including, but not limited to, enemies to lovers, exes of friends, marriages of convenience, etc.
  • Stories featuring heroines and the strong alpha males who court them.
  • Romance must be the central plot. The couple should be together on almost every page.
  • Supreme conflict. Why do family and friends condemn relationships they don’t approve of? Explore the banishment couples face when they sacrifice so-called family/friends for love and how their true love atoned for perceived slights.
  • POV should be split 50/50 between the hero and heroine. 3rd person POV is preferred. No secondary characters should have their own POV.
  • The heat level should be anywhere from a blazing to atomic.
  • Manuscripts are preferred at 45-60K words in length, but novellas of 15-40K words are accepted at this time.
